In early April, David Wayne Turner intentionally mowed down three women who were finishing up a feed for the homeless. The victims Diamond and Clarissa Roman(mother & daughter) were walking along with Michelle Jardine when Turner intentionally slammed into the women near the Nevada Cares Campus. The mother and daughter survived but with severe injuries. Michelle Jardine, who was homeless, died of her injuries. Turner admitted to the Police that his actions were intentional. Turner has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder with the use of a deadly weapon and two counts of attempted murder.
