Police said they answered a call about a woman choking a dog in a parking lot and found a woman locked in her vehicle with six dogs, refusing to come out. After some negotiating police convinced suspect Anastasia Mischenko to exit the vehicle and she was then arrested and charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty and resisting/obstructing an officer.
A woman who was allegedly choking a dog in a parking lot was arrested by police after a short standoff in her SUV with six dogs. The police responded to a call about the incident and found the woman barricaded in her vehicle, refusing to cooperate. After some persuasion, the police managed to get the woman, identified as Anastasia Mischenko, out of the car and took her into custody. She faces charges of animal cruelty and resisting/obstructing an officer, both misdemeanors.
