Eugeneo Matthew Hinojosa has been charged with attempted murder in the first degree in connection with the shooting of two homeless people that caused the city of Denver to shut down a homeless encampment at 17th Avenue and Logan Street. According to police Hinojosa walked towards the camp, shouting about car keys to a woman he knew. Hinojosa then opened fire toward the woman and shot two residents of the camp. Hinojosa faces a slew of charges from this incident and separate drug charges in an ongoing case.
