A 15-year-old is being charged as an adult in a fatal shooting of a homeless man in Pottstown.

According to Pottstown Police Thomas Niarhos is charged with First-Degree Murder and is facing other related charges in the death of 39-year-old homeless man Jeremiah Hawkins.

Niarhos told officers that Hawkins had raped his girlfriend behind a nearby dumpster.  When cops arrived they found a group of bystanders restraining the teen, who yelled out “He’s a rapist, don’t feel sorry for him,” and “He raped a 15-year-old girl, don’t help him,”

He is being held without bail at the Montgomery County Youth Center and is due back in court on Nov. 30
