Sacramento County thrift shop owners Melissa and Thomas Jones were attacked by two homeless people after asking them to move along from sleeping in front of their door so they could open.  The Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Damariay Smith and 34-year-old Sherinda Owens in connection with the attack and charged them with assault with a deadly weapon.  They are both known to law enforcement.
