Over a dozen homeless people were arrested during a search of 37 homeless encampments to serve anyone with active warrants for their arrest. 10 felony warrants and 6 misdemeanor warrants were served. Shawnee County Sheriff Brian Hill said an uptick in individuals with active warrants listed as homeless is what led to the operation.
