Auburn Police were led to a homeless encampment looking for a suspect who had brandished a gun.  Police found 40-year-old Gabriel Sanchez and identified him as the suspect.  Police say they searched his tent and found a firearm, around five grams of fentanyl, and other drug paraphernalia.  Sanchez has had multiple run-ins with the law resulting in several felony convictions, which prevents him from legally owning a firearm.  Sanchez was arrested and taken to the Androscoggin County Jail.  46-year-old Crystal Murray was also arrested on outstanding warrants associated with multiple drug charges.
