Countdown To Enforcement

Police will start stepping up patrols ahead of the holidays to begin enforcing Portland’s daytime camping ban.  Violators will receive two written warnings and could then be subject to citation or arrest if caught again.  Having a place for people to go is also a part of the plan.  One of the six planned sanctioned campsites has opened already and a second is soon to open.
