St. Louis city officials have been quiet about the growing homeless encampment on their front lawn at City Hall. There has been no word directly from Mayor Tishaura Jones as the camp is in clear view from her office’s window. Within just a month the encampment has grown from a couple of tents to almost 30, with at least two pregnant women among the residents. A spokesperson has said the city has no immediate plans to remove anyone from the camp.
