The Volunteers of America-run women’s shelter, Hope House, is currently dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak that has temporarily stopped them from accepting new clients.  Current residents are quarantining and wearing face masks.   If no new cases occur by Friday, new registrations will resume.  Hope House made news last year in a panic to keep its doors open.   That fear was calmed when the shelter received enough funding to remain open through the end of 2023
