San Jose’s Arena Hotel is a renovated 90-room hotel that now operates as a low-barrier shelter that houses the homeless. $ 46 million was spent on the project, with funding from Measure E and Project Homekey. According to a recent point-in-time survey, San Jose has over 6000 homeless people. So it was no surprise to see the shelter full on day one.
