Proposed sites for homeless micro-communities at I-25 and Yale and in the Golden Triangle were canceled by Denver Mayor Mike Johnston’s administration. Residents in the surrounding areas of the two locations made their voices loud and clear they did not want the communities built in their neighborhoods. Mayor Johnston’s administration still feels optimistic they will meet their goal of getting 1,000 people into shelter by the end of the year.
