The city of Denver has released a dashboard that displays real-time insights to the public on progress being made in getting homeless people off the streets.   Mayor Mike Johnston’s goal is to get 1000 homeless people off the street by year’s end, and he seems pretty confident that he will hit that number.  The dashboard shows the city’s dedication to transparency, and accountability, according to city officials.

Mike Johnston declared a state of emergency on homelessness on his first day in office and has recently extended that declaration.  His commitment to ending homelessness is on point with other mayors around the country using similar methods of buying hotels and creating tiny home communities.  And they also are also having similar successes.
