Denver Mayor Mike Johnston made a few changes before the move-in deadline of the micro-community for the homeless at the Santa Fe site location after neighbors and District 7 City Council Member Flor Alvidrez began to push back.  Johnston decided to cut the initial number of people moving in down to 60, as the Overland neighborhood had requested.  Further expansion would depend on feedback from the community.

Because of the last-minute changes Council delayed a vote on a $3.8 million contract with Colorado Village Collaborative, which was chosen to run the Santa Fe location.
