The city of Denver is looking to buy or lease the former DoubleTree hotel located at 4040 Quebec St. If acquired, it will be the third hotel that’s part of Mayor Mike Johnston’s House1000 initiative to get homeless people off the street, with the Best Western Central Park Hotel and the Stay Inn Hotel also a part of his portfolio. The city could also spend up to $43 million to buy the DoubleTree hotel at any time.
