The former Days Inn off Tunnel Road in Asheville has been completely transformed into permanent supportive housing made for low-income residents with disabilities. Most of the residents that are moving in are chronically homeless. The new Compass Point Village complex is managed by the non-profit Homeward Bound, a nonprofit dedicated to affordable housing. The site features 85 units that have a small kitchenette with fridge and microwave, bed, TV, bathroom, and seating furniture.
