The City of Modesto received $16 million dollars from California’s Project Homekey program to build 55 units of permanent supportive housing for people experiencing homelessness. The project will be a purchase and restoration of the Travelers Motel. 38 of the units will serve adults 25 or younger and the other 16 units will go towards the general homeless population.
