L.A. Mayor Karen Bass and other LA city officials announced the opening of a four-story 62-unit apartment building specifically designed for chronically ill seniors that are homeless.  Wrap-around services will be provided to make sure residents adjust to a more stable way of living.  The once vacant lot located at 1040 N Kenmore Ave. in East Hollywood was developed by the nonprofit Wakeland Housing and Development Corporation into what is now known as The Wilcox.  Residents will begin moving into the new building by the end of the month.
