Denver’s response to the homeless crisis is to use the ideology of Housing First. A better option would be to treat the core problem that caused someone’s homelessness first. Creating only housing first housing units would just set people up to fail. Without treating their core issues, you’re just building a revolving door that puts them right back on the street sooner or later, which feeds into the Homeless Industrial Complex.
