Can’t We All Just Get Along
Citizens, business leaders, and politicians are trying to figure out how to live among each other with the new city ordinance on urban camping set to begin on November 24th in Bozeman. A pair of rulings from the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals prohibits cities from criminally punishing homeless individuals for sleeping in public places.
Bozeman, Montana is not like other cities around the country when it comes to homelessness. Bozeman is very much small-town America. They don’t have the resources to offer a variety of programs to get people off the streets. Just a shelter that is overcrowded and full to capacity. They are at their wit’s end trying to deal with homelessness.
