Burien City Council landed on a 4-3 vote that gives way to a new city ordinance that prevents people from setting up camp on any public street, sidewalk, or park between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Anyone violating the ordinance can now be charged with a criminal misdemeanor. The new ordinance will go into effect on November 1st.
