NYC At Breaking Point

The right to shelter is a crucial issue for many homeless people in NYC, who rely on the city’s network of shelters and supportive housing to survive.  However, the Mayor has announced that he will end this policy due to budget constraints and seek federal help to address the homelessness crisis.  City officials and non-profits are strongly opposed to this decision and are fighting to preserve the right to shelter for the most vulnerable residents of NYC. They argue that the Mayor is abandoning his responsibility and putting thousands of lives at risk.
