Back in July, a small group of parents in Boulder started a petition called Safe Zones 4 Kids to keep homeless encampments away from children.  Today more than 62 percent of voters signed off on the proposal and it is now approved.  The new ordinance seeks to create a prioritized enforcement zone of no camping of 500 feet from school property lines and 50 feet from multi-use paths and sidewalks.
