One of Denver’s oldest LGBTQ+ bars is shutting its doors due to homelessness says owner Scott Coors. The Triangle Bar and a group of other businesses in the area have recently pleaded with The Mayor of Denver to help with the homeless problem near them downtown. They are surrounded by homeless encampments on three sides and it’s bringing their sales down. Safety was also part of their concern. Some of the camps were removed but returned just days later. Homeless encampments are crowding the area because of all the services being offered nearby like the Coalition to the Homeless, Urban Peak, and many others.
The Triangle’s last hurrah, aka the “Farewell Beer Bust,” is set for this Sunday at Noon.
