A coalition of nonprofits and a city leader want to create a project called the Homeless Diversion Initiative that could keep some San Diegans from losing their homes. Using the strategy of diversion to prevent homelessness is the goal of the program. Diversion programs are nothing new and have seen a lot of success in the past.
