Trump’s simple plan to solve homelessness is to reintroduce “mental institutions”. But what about the rest of us? Most homeless people are not severely mentally ill or addicted to drugs. They get up in the morning and go to work like most people in the country. But before you blame conservatives for coming up with this idea, you should take a closer look at the supporters of the homeless. These types of ideas have also floated around for years in liberal circles. They are no longer just whispers. People on the left are saying the same as those on the right. “Lock them up”
The Homeless Industrial Complex needs to start rethinking its plan of labeling the entire homeless population as mental patients or drug addicts. It’s working and you’re scaring the hell out of people. You’re making a ton of money exploiting us, but you’re not solving the crisis. You’re only convincing society that something has to be done about those crazy junkies outside. You’re going to get us all put in a padded room.
