The Westside Emergency Housing Center in Albuquerque will soon receive 450 heavy-duty bug-resistant beds with matching linens that total around $350,000. The upgrade to the shelter is being done to deal with a serious bed-bug problem they are having. This comes at a time when the cold will start to set in. The shelter currently averages around 400 people nightly, and will see a higher increase come Winter.
