The City of San Diego has opened its second Safe Sleeping site for people experiencing homelessness at the edge of Balboa Park. The new site has room for 400 tents that can fit two people each with some wrap-around services provided on-site. The tents are bigger, taller, and handle weather a lot better than the first site. Two groups, Dreams for Change and Downtown San Diego Partnership, will operate the site.
